Factors such as weather, snow removal creating a safe clear path and parking, traffic conditions, moving truck accessibility to new address (truck height is 12' 6"), etc., as well as your own readiness will have an impact on the cost of your move. Reliable Moving does not operate while there is a driving ban in effect for weather conditions.
A deposit of (2 hours minimum) is required by the Reliable Moving Inc. to reserve a specific moving date and time. The deposit will be applied to reduce the final moving charges.
The deposit will be refunded if the shipper/customer cancels move or postpones up to 5 business days before the scheduled move.
Reliable Moving's liability to individual items by weight at $.30 per pound unless higher limits are agreed to in writing prior to move.
Liability for scratches, tears, cracks, and other surface blemishes, to and including but not limited to, wood, upholstery, and leather shall be limited to $100.00 per item unless higher limits are agreed to in writing prior to move.
Remove everything from inside your dressers, chest of drawers and all furniture items. Legs and integrity on these items are not made to withstand moving with weight in them. Reliable Moving will not be responsible for damage of non-emptied furniture.
Wall art, pictures, paintings, mirrors, marble, granite, stone, unframed glass, glass table tops, etc.
These items must be properly protected and properly packed in a protective box made specifically for the item to be moved. Any “stone or glass” may have hairline cracks & unseen weaknesses, no matter how delicately moved it may damage, and we cannot be responsible for any damage
You are responsible for removing any items that you intend to ship which are permanently affixed to the ceiling or walls of your home.
For safety precautions, kids and pets must be out of the work area throughout the entire move
You are responsible to unplug all electric chords from power sources
Responsibilities/preparations to be made by customer for electronics, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, and dryer. Responsibilities are to empty unit, clean from grease, soap, dirt, etc., secure lids, doors, cords, install shipping bolts in washing machine, and removal of any pieces that may detach. Detachable pieces are to be safely packed by customer. Customer responsible for glass shelves in refrigerators also.

Televisions must be packed in 100% of original box including Styrofoam corners for TV or use a “T.V. Box” that includes proper padding including Styrofoam corners.
Trash cans, barbeque grills that use charcoal and appliances must be cleaned prior to loading day.
Make sure lamps, vases, pictures, art, speakers, computer, electronics and other sensitive items are packed properly in proper boxes.
Mattresses and box-springs should be in a quality liquid proof and bed bug proof protective cover. One that is not going to rip open or is cheap. Good deals at walmart.com for quality covers, search and get zippered covers for best protection. Reliable Moving is not responsible for any damage to mattresses and box-springs that are not properly protected with a quality cover and/or a cover that doesn't easily rip or tear.
Make sure all totes and boxes are completely/securely closed and sealed. Reliable Moving won't move anything not properly protected unless customer signs off releasing Reliable Moving's liability to the item and possible house damage from moving item.
Disassembly and reassembly of your beds is a standard service provided by Reliable Moving. However, if you have any other pieces of furniture that require dismantling and reassembly you should ask the mover about the associated costs.
Bulky articles such as grandfather clocks, pool tables, large glass tables, sculptures, large paintings, etc. will often require custom packing/preparation. Be sure to show any such items to the mover representative.
We will move your appliances, and items under 250 lbs., if the work can be done safely. Unfortunately, damage may result to premises. If you wish to take this risk Reliable Moving will not be responsible. Let mover know about items over 250 lbs. in advance of the move.
We reserve the right to reschedule the move at an agreed upon time, without liability, if there is inclement weather, including, but not limited to, rain, snow, and ice or a travel ban.. If the move requires significantly more work to be done than originally described by the client, Reliable Moving reserves the right to fulfill other obligations before completing additional work and/or add more movers as needed.
We reserve the right to limit our work day to 10 hours.
We will not move in areas that are not properly lighted, or at night.
WE WILL NOT MOVE any items, or work in any area with unsanitary conditions, evidence sewage backup, strong pet odor, any area with fecal matter, soiled items including mattresses, natural gas odor, etc.
Must be Bug & Pest Free
First sight of any bug and/or pest problem of any kind, move will immediately be canceled. Any items in moving truck will be immediately removed and placed directly outside the truck at Clients expense, minimizing the exposure of our workers and their families. Shipper responsible for payment of time worked + $150.00 fee for treatment of crew and truck, blankets.
Hourly Moving Rates - Rates shall be computed from the time the truck arrives at customer's home or place of business and end when shipment has been delivered at destination. Charges shall be computed by multiplying the hourly rate by the time involved. Fractions of an hour will be disposed of as follows:
Where the time involved is fifteen minutes or less, the charge shall be for one-quarter of an hour. When more than fifteen minutes but not more than thirty minutes, the charge shall be for one-half hour. When more than thirty minutes but not more than forty-five minutes, the charge shall be for three-quarters of an hour. When more than forty-five minutes, the charge shall be for one hour.
Travel Time - In addition travel time will be added to cover travel time from mover's warehouse or terminal to point of origin and again from point of destination back to mover's terminal.
Payment
Customers must pay the balance in full at the completion of the move. The customer or his representative must be present during the move and final “walk- through”. Be advised, our time runs continuously for waiting time and/or until payment is completed. Reliable Moving accepts all major forms of credit cards, cash, checks, cashiers check, certified checks, Venmo, & PayPal
Parking
The customer is responsible for obtaining safe and legal parking for the moving truck and movers. Any fines incurred during your move due to a lack of reserved or available parking will be added to the bill.
Reliable Moving will not take a truck off pavement. If the move requires us to take the truck off pavement we do not cover septic tanks, power lines, or landscape. It is assumed all driveways are structurally sound and should hold the weight of the truck(s). In rare occasions the weight of our trucks could crack a driveway. If you do not feel your driveway will hold the weight of our trucks, please let us know in advance. We cannot and will not take responsibility for unstable parking surfaces. Any time spent positioning the truck(s) or time lost due to truck(s) getting stuck will be at customer’s expense. At finish of the job, the clock does not stop until our truck(s) are back on the municipal street. It is also assumed that all power and cable lines should be high enough for our truck to access.

Labor Only Jobs
Reliable Moving is unable to use their own equipment and/or supplies to prepare articles for shipment/moving. Due to this fact Reliable Moving cannot be liable for damages, scuffs, scrapes, scratches, dents etc., on articles moved and/or walls/halls of location(s).
We charge waiting time at hourly rate for that job.
Claims
All/any claims will not be considered until moving balance is paid in full.
Reliable Moving is NOT LIABLE for…
Valuable personal items - Bank bills, coin or currency, deeds, notes, drafts or valuable papers of any kind, jewelry, postage stamps, stamp collections, revenue stamps, letters or packets of letters, precious stones, one of a kind artwork, photos, antiques, keys, etc.
Integrity of particle board and/or engineered wood furniture
Integrity of furniture pieces made with glass or mirrored sides
Floor & rug protection
Customers responsibility to prepare protection for floors/rugs within the house. Customer is aware movers will be on their premise using dollies/equipment on floors/rugs to move appliances & other items. We cannot remove our shoes, so proper protection against weather conditions that may affect floors/rugs may be necessary. Reliable Moving will not be liable for any damage whatsoever to floors/rugs etc.
Televisions, Pictures, Paintings, Mirrors, Glass, Marble, Granite, Stone, unframed glass, etc
These items must be properly protected and properly packed in a box, or crated. Televisions must be packed in 100% of original box including padding or a “T.V. Box” that includes proper padding also. Any “stone or glass” may have hairline cracks & unseen weaknesses, no matter how delicately moved it may damage, and we cannot be responsible for any damage
Animal mounts

Items loaded into or unloaded from rental trucks or storage facilities
The inner workings/ wiring of anything electronic, or the mechanics of anything moved
This means the inside of your TV, stereo, laptop, amplifiers, appliances, etc.
Boxes you packed yourself, Items in open boxes or in bags
Though lots of people pack their own boxes to save money and time, movers aren't liable for boxes they didn't pack.
Non-furniture items not packed properly or boxed. Some examples - televisions, pictures, paintings, unframed glass, clothing, mirrors, lamps & lamp shades, electronics, speakers, porcelain & ceramics, coffee maker, microwave, toys, weights, any item with no protection
Reliable Moving can box items, if we have boxes available for a box/accessorial fee.
Any damage to yard, driveway, property, etc. by moving truck – If this is a concern request moving truck to be parked on street. Our truck can weigh up to 26,000 lbs. fully loaded.
Moving anything poisonous, flammable, corrosive and/or perishable - Client will be responsible for any damages (to either moving truck & supplies, movers and/or client’s own items) caused by the shipping of these items, if not declared to mover and loaded into moving truck.
Reliable Moving will not be responsible for damage caused by routine moving including but not limited to, deteriorated items/furniture. Example, older wood pieces/furniture become dry and brittle and cannot withstand the stresses of a move. Applying shrinkwrap and protective blankets may cause stress cracks on brittle furniture. Furniture legs/feet or integrity of the joints, connections, or seams may crack/break while standing pieces/furniture on end to get through doorways/hallways. Also with general handling.
Reliable Moving will not be responsible for damage caused in, sharp turns, difficult stairways, snags and sharp edges in work areas and doorways, nails, hooks, handing over balconies, railings, etc., tight squeezes, overcrowded work areas, and damage caused by inclement weather. Including, but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, and high-wind.
If you have a waterbed, we will be glad to move it, but we are not waterbed experts and therefore will not insure leaks or holes etc.
We only move empty aquariums and will not insure them unless they are properly crated..
We will not work in unfloored attics. Ceiling damage and personal injury may result.
No liability for the internal workings of any items include, but are not limited to amps, speakers, instruments, equipment, electronics, appliances, televisions, clocks, stereos or the mechanics of anything moved, etc.
Reliable Moving will not be held liable for damages caused to items that were not packed to our standards by our movers. We are not responsible for improper packing methods and/or materials used by the customer.
Reliable Moving will not be held liable for any items that are being carried to and moved in the client’s own vehicle or rental truck. We can pack and secure a load in client’s rental truck or car, but customer is 100% responsible for final inspection and safety of load. Reliable Moving also has no responsibility if something happens carrying items to personal vehicle or rental truck.
